Democracy.media is committed to making its directory and community tools usable by as many people as possible, including those with disabilities. The platform is in beta, and we are actively working to improve accessibility as features are built.

Our goals

We aim to follow recognized web accessibility standards, including providing descriptive headings, sufficient color contrast, keyboard-navigable controls, and text alternatives for meaningful images wherever possible.

Known limitations

Some areas of the directory are still being improved. Third-party content embedded from other platforms (such as social posts or maps) may not fully conform to our standards, and we rely on those providers for their own accessibility.
